Elesa inviger sin nya Gigafactory

Elesa invigde sin nya Gigafactory i Monza med ett särskilt evenemang som samlade medarbetare och deras familjer, tillsammans med de yrkespersoner och byggpartner som bidragit till projektet. Evenemanget kallat ”Gigaday” markerade en viktig industriell milstolpe för företaget och uppmärksammade samtidigt insatsen från de personer vars engagemang och expertis fortsätter att driva Elesas tillväxt och utveckling.

Invigningsceremonin samlade Elesa Managing Director and Board Member Carlo Bertani, the Executive and Board Member Andrea Bertani, och President Alberto Bertani, tillsammans med företrädare för de lokala institutionerna som stöttat företaget genom hela projektets utveckling. Bland de närvarande fanns Paolo Pilotto, Mayor of Monza, och Luca Santambrogio, President of the Province of Monza and Brianza. Vid evenemanget deltog även Marco Lamperti, Carlo Abbà, Egidio Riva and Andreina Fumagalli, Councillors of the Municipality of Monza, och Matteo Parravicini, President of the local representative of the Italian Industry Association in Monza and Brianza.

Elesa stärker sin produktionskapacitet med sin nya Gigafactory, en anläggning som skapats genom en utbyggnad av företagets befintliga industriområde. Investeringen syftar till att öka koncernens konkurrenskraft, möta den globala efterfrågan på komponenter som håller höga standarder för kvalitet och prestanda och att ytterligare stärka företagets band till det samhälle där det grundades och har vuxit. Projektet, en total investering på 39 miljoner euro (34 miljoner euro avsatta till byggnaden och högteknologiska system och ytterligare 5 miljoner euro till implementerandet av en specialiserad, innovativ automation) uppgraderar Elesas huvudkontor med nya produktionsytor, kontor och grönområden utformade för att förena innovation, operativ effektivitet, hållbarhet och en högkvalitativ arbetsmiljö.

Gigafactory introducerar en innovativ och flexibel produktionsmodell, där avancerad automation och digital teknik förbättrar samordningen mellan verksamhetens olika delar och ökar processeffektiviteten. Layouten har även utformats för att kunna anpassas till förändringar i produktion och volymer över tid, vilket ger Elesa flexibiliteten att snabbare möta föränderliga behov på marknaden och hos kunderna.

Projektet sätter hållbarhet och människors välbefinnande i centrum för sin design. Naturligt ljus, kylsystem i produktionsområdena, grönområden och särskilda sociala ytor bidrar till att skapa en mer bekväm och välkomnande arbetsmiljö samtidigt som automatiseringen av repetitiva uppgifter gör att medarbetarna kan använda sin kompetens bättre och fokusera på aktiviteter med högre värde. Ur ett miljöperspektiv har anläggningen uppnått Energy Efficiency Class A4 (den högsta klassificeringen på den italienska skalan från G till A4) och innehåller lösningar för värmeåtervinning, kylning, avfuktning och förbättrad energieffektivitet.
