Horizontal Toggle Clamps for Downward Clamping

Horizontal toggle clamps

A toggle clamp is a tool used to securely fix components or parts in position. They are easy to use and allow the operator to quickly secure and release a component as needed. This repetitive action is often needed in manufacturing processes such as production lines, and so our toggle clamps are perfect for this. They feature an inbuilt fast action mechanism that allows them to be engaged or released in one quick movement. To support this, the clamp consists of a linkage system of pivot pins and levers boosting the applied force. The toggle clamp is essentially locked when engaged but can be swiftly released.

Our horizontal toggle clamps are a variation on the common vertical version. With a handle in the horizontal position, the clamps provide a holding force in a downward direction. This design allows the clamp to be front-mounted, enabling clearance above the clamp. To ensure a high level of safety, these specifications keep the operator’s hand away from the clamp during operation.

We have designed our toggle clamps using the following materials—carefully-chosen strong metals and ergonomic plastics that deliver excellent performance:

  • Steel
  • Stainless steel
  • Polyurethane handle

This range of clamps feature articulated joints that have been lubricated with special grease to ensure high performance. During clamping, the lever is controlled to prevent impact on functioning due to side thrust.

Alongside our clamps with folded base, we also supply toggle clamps with an anti-release lever. These components prevent accidental opening and so are particularly suitable for use in environments that are affected by intense vibrations. These protective clamps are also available with an extended lever. The arm extension provides you with a longer hold bar to hold objects in position, saving time and enhancing safety.
