Elesa has expanded its product portfolio with a new family of cable glands and accessories, developed to provide secure cable fixing and effective protection in industrial applications. The range is available in technopolymer, nickel-plated brass and stainless steel, with different thread types to meet the requirements of designers, machine builders, electrical panel manufacturers and installers across a broad range of industrial environments.

An essential component for electrical and automation systems

A cable gland is used to securely fix a cable where it enters an electrical enclosure, junction box or other equipment. In addition to providing a stable connection, it helps protect cables from mechanical stress and contributes to maintaining the enclosure's degree of protection against dust, moisture and other external agents over time.

The Elesa cable gland range includes:

Technopolymer cable glands (CGT series): lightweight and wear-resistant, offering excellent electrical insulation together with good resistance to chemicals and corrosion. They are particularly suitable for standard commercial and industrial electrical enclosures, including junction boxes and distribution boards.
Nickel-plated brass cable glands (CGM-NK series): combining excellent structural stability with a long service life and increased resistance to impact and localised mechanical loads. They are suitable for demanding industrial applications where robust performance is required.
Stainless steel cable glands (CGM-SST series): designed to provide maximum corrosion resistance. They are particularly suitable for hygiene-sensitive sectors, including the food and pharmaceutical industries, as well as for use in aggressive environments.

Installation flexibility and international standards

The range supports installation requirements through the availability of the three main thread standards used worldwide: metric (M), which provides secure, vibration-resistant connections in accordance with European standards; PG, widely used for maintenance and existing installations; and NPT (National Pipe Thread), which is essential for applications in the North American market.

This choice of thread types makes the cable glands suitable for both new installations and maintenance or retrofit activities on existing systems. The range currently covers metric threads from M12 to M63, PG threads from PG 7 to PG 48 and NPT threads for the North American market.

A modular range of accessories

To facilitate installation and provide complete, ready-to-use solutions, Elesa offers a dedicated selection of accessories for its cable glands:

Reducers, available in technopolymer (CGT-HR series) or brass (CGM-HR series), enable the mounting hole diameter to be adapted to the cable gland thread, ensuring reliable mechanical protection and sealing.
Mounting nuts, available in technopolymer (CGT-NTC series), brass and stainless steel (CGM-NT series), are designed to secure CGT cable glands to distribution boards and junction boxes, providing stable fixing and reliable mechanical sealing.
Threaded plugs, available in technopolymer (CGT-TC series) or brass (CGM-TC series), are used to close unused openings in distribution boards and junction boxes. They help protect equipment against dust and moisture while maintaining the sealing performance of the enclosure.
Multi-hole rubber sealing inserts (CGA-MS series) are suitable for applications where several cables need to pass through a single cable gland. They replace the standard sealing insert and are compatible with both CGT technopolymer and CGM metal cable glands.
