Features and applications
They are used to secure and insulate electrical cables inside electrical equipment such as distribution boards and junction boxes, providing protection from external factors.
They keep the cable securely fixed in place, preventing mechanical stress or accidental pulling that could affect the internal electrical connections and ensuring the continuity of the electrical connection.
The O-ring guarantees a high degree of protection by preventing the ingress of water and dust, as well as protecting the electrical connections from potential corrosion.
Within the specified clamping range, the sealing and locking effect increases with the diameter of the cable.
Cable glands can be fitted to electrical equipment either by using the existing thread or, in the case of a pass-through hole, by using mounting nuts.
