The AE-V0 line has been expanded with new solutions made from UL-94 V0 certified self-extinguishing technopolymer, tested to ensure the highest safety standards for machines and equipment operating in environments where superior flame resistance is required, such as public spaces, complex industrial plants, and highly automated sectors.
In contexts where safety is an essential requirement, Elesa S.p.A., a global leader in the design and production of standard components for the mechanical and automation industries, reinforces its commitment by expanding the AE-V0 range.
Products in this line are manufactured using a specially formulated self-extinguishing technopolymer and undergo rigorous flammability testing, allowing the components to comply with the requirements of the UL-94 V0 classification.

What does UL-94 V0 certification mean?
The technopolymer used in AE-V0 components has passed the stringent UL-94 V (Vertical Burning) flammability tests, achieving the V0 classification, the highest level of fire performance.
During the UL-94 V test, a material sample is exposed to a direct flame in a vertical position.
To achieve V0 classification, two fundamental conditions must be met:
1. Rapid self-extinguishing – the flame must extinguish on its own within 10 seconds of removing the ignition source.
2. No flaming droplets – the material must not produce flaming droplets capable of spreading fire to other surfaces or underlying components.
Successful completion of these tests is certified by the so-called Yellow Card issued by Underwriters Laboratories (UL), confirming the material’s performance and reliability compared to standard technopolymers, which are generally classified as UL-94 HB (Horizontal Burning).
A complete range for every application
The expansion of the AE-V0 line reflects Elesa’s commitment to providing complete solutions for machine safety. The range now includes numerous essential components, such as lobed clamping knobs, bridge handles (including electric versions), recessed handles, hinges (including electric), and closures.
This wide availability allows designers and machine builders to consistently integrate fire-safe solutions across the entire equipment, while maintaining the high standards of ergonomics, reliability, and quality that have always distinguished Elesa products.
