In industrial design, even the smallest component can affect the performance, reliability and service life of an entire system. This is particularly true of fastening components which, in addition to connecting parts, are increasingly required to withstand corrosive and chemical environments, provide electrical and thermal insulation, reduce overall structural weight and maintain the highest mechanical performance over time.
To meet these requirements, Elesa is expanding its product range with a new family of technopolymer fastening systems, comprising of 22 new series and almost 500 codes, including screws, nuts, washers and spacers. The new range provides designers and manufacturers with a reliable alternative to traditional metal fastening components for a wide variety of industrial applications.
Made from polyamide-based technopolymer (PA) in natural colour, the new components offer high resistance to corrosion and chemical agents, together with electrical insulation properties and a significant weight reduction compared with equivalent metal solutions. These inherent material properties make the components particularly suitable for applications across a wide range of sectors, including industrial automation, electronics, aerospace, rail, medical equipment, automotive, agricultural machinery, the chemical industry and technical furniture.
The new range has been developed in accordance with the main DIN and ISO standards, allowing designers to use technopolymer components without having to modify established design geometries. The range includes screws in different configurations – wing, countersunk, hexagonal socket, cylindrical and headless – as well as dome, safety and self-locking nuts. It also includes standard, anti-vibration, safety, captive and locking washers, together with cylindrical spacers.
Attention has been paid to the functional performance of the components. They have been designed to improve fastening stability; minimise loosening caused by vibration and simplify assembly operations.

The entire range undergoes dimensional and mechanical checks to ensure consistent and reliable performance. For the screws, the corresponding technical data sheets also specify the maximum tightening torque values, providing designers with precise information for correct component selection and use case.
More than a simple catalogue extension, this new family represents a further step in the development of Elesa's range of standard technopolymer components. It provides designers with a comprehensive selection of reliable, lightweight and resistant fastening systems that can make a tangible contribution to the quality, durability and performance of industrial machinery.
