Friction and detent hinges
Our range of friction and detent hinges are ideal for use in many sectors, from the food and metal working industry, to use on doors on agricultural machinery and construction equipment.
To ensure that these components perform brilliantly, we have manufactured them using the quality materials of technopolymer, stainless steel, and die-cast zinc alloy.
Within this range are hinges with screw holes of the following dimensions:
- 4mm
- 5.5mm
- 6mm
- 6.5mm
- 8mm
- 10.5mm
Our detent hinge is available with free rotation, and with pass-through holes for countersunk or hexagonal head screws. Engineered with an Elesa patent, the device allows four different detent positions of the door: -90°, 0°, +70°, +115°. These hinges have been tested with more than 20,000 opening and closing cycles, through which the detent positions guaranteed a resistant torque of around 3 Nm. We also provide detent hinges with screw covers to prevent the accumulation of dust and to enhance the aesthetic value of your equipment.
We are passionate about providing you with versatile standard components that deliver flexible solutions, and so you will find several ranges of hinges with varying features.
Our hinges with adjustable friction are characterised by the ability to adjust the resistant torque of the door on which it is assembled. This facilitates the door clamping in the various positions of opening, partial opening, and closing. Adjusting the friction force is easy—simply turn the screw on the hinge body clockwise to increase, and anti-clockwise to reduce the friction. Our adjustable hinges have been tested with more than 60.000 opening and closing cycles to ensure long-lasting performance.
Within our range are hinges with friction brake, and hinges for profiles with friction locking. These hinges feature a lightweight technopolymer PUSH lever to allow the handle to return to its starting position. The lever can rotate freely together with the door without obstructing the movement, even in case of accidental shock. To operate the adjusting mechanism, push down the lever (PUSH). The high number of teeth within the adjustable handle guarantees rotation even in case of very limited movement of the lever arm.
