Features and applications

Mounting nuts GN 7430 are used, for example, to fasten breather elements, oil level sight glasses or threaded plugs when the wall is too thin for inserting a thread or this is to be avoided for manufacturing simplification.

The sufficiently large hexagonal profile is chamfered on one side only, which increases the bearing surface and the thread length.

The stainless steel versions can be secured inside the housing by spot welds to facilitate assembly, they are generally suitable for applications with aggressive environmental conditions.
