GN 7984.2 Retained cylinder head screws

GN 7984.2 cylinder head screws have a low-profile head that makes them suitable for use in conditions where space is limited.

Thanks to the recessed d3 pin, the screw cannot slide out, for example when used to secure a cover. Therefore, the mounting element is retained in accordance with the provisions of Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.

For this purpose, instead of the normal threaded pass-through hole, a d1 thread must be provided on both parts, if necessary with a d4 pass-through hole. There are multiple assembly options, depending on the design and the required locking length a1 ... a3 of the cover, as shown.
