Ergostyle® by ELESA
Conceived for a broad spectrum of applications, typical of new market segments, Ergostyle® elements are destined for hospital and medical equipment and laboratory fittings, office furnishings, leisure and sporting equipment, and, generally, wherever aesthetics and user-friendliness are key requirements for the market success of a product.
A basic feature of the new elements, besides a perfect ergonomic function, is that of adding to the quality and value of the equipment for which they have been designed, by fully blending with it.
All products in the Ergostyle® range are marked by five small dots.
They stand for the five letters in ELESA’s name, an almost imperceptible signature, not to interfere with the brand identify of the product on which it fits.
Be sure to look for them:
a small unobtrusive mark, making a world of difference.

San - Antimicrobial Protection
The products of the ELESA SAN LINE stop the deposit of any undesired organisms such as microbes, bacteria, mildew and fungi which are the major causes of unpleasant odours, discoloration, degradation and the formation of biofilm on surfaces and prevent them from reproducing.
Hence a hygienic and precautionary action is guaranteed even after several cleaning cycles at high temperatures with soap and solvents in the long term.
A special technopolymer including antimicrobial additives - a mixture of silver ions on an inorganic ceramic base - chemical free without any antibiotic drugs or pesticides which may be released on the operator’s hands.
Antimicrobial action
When a microbe ingests silver ions they destroy cell walls thereby killing the microbe.
Silver ions bind microbe cell walls thus preventing cellular "respiration", causing lysis of the microbe.
Designed for:
Medical and hospital equipment
Disability aids
Machines for the food processing and pharmaceutical industry
Equipment for catering services
Urban and public fittings
RoHS compliancy
The majority of the standard products available in the ELESA catalogue are compliant with the European Directive 2002/95/CE (RoHS directive, Restriction on Hazardous Substances).
However, there are some exceptions for some products which are not yet compliant owing to technological limits in the field of research in raw materials hence not due to ELESA's direct responsibility.By clicking on each product code in the table, you can directly check the status of the product as to RoHS compliancy.
All compliant products are supplied with a label showing the RoHS symbol.

Material
Glass-fibre reinforced polyamide based (PA) technopolymer with silver ions on an inorganic ceramic base. Resistant to solvents, oils, greases and other chemical agents.
Colour
Black, matte finish.
Caps
Technopolymer, black colour, matte finish, supplied not assembled, press-fit assembly, removable by a screwdriver.
Assembly
Through holes for cylindrical-head screws with hexagon socket.
Features
The special antimicrobial material EBP.SAN is made out of, stops any deposit of bacteria, mildew and fungi, offering a sanitized effect on the surface.
Tests carried out on material samples confirmed the stability of the antimicrobial action after several cleaning cycles at high temperatures with soap and solvents.
The great resistance to high temperatures of the antimicrobial additive allows this handle to reach sterilisation temperatures 270°F (130°C).
Applications
EBP.SAN handle is suitable for applications where hygienic and sanitary elements are required:
- medical and hospital equipment
- disability aids
- machines for food processing and pharmaceutical industry
- equipment for catering service
- urban and public fittings.
Technical data
Tensile stress and impact strength: F1, F2, L1 and L2 values reported in the table are the result of breaking tests carried out with the appropriate dynamometric equipment under the test conditions shown in the figure with ambient temperature.
